Hastelloy C22 is an advanced alloy that features nickel chromium molybdenum combination for intrinsic resistance to many chemicals; oxidising and reducing environments. One of the most common products made of this material is Hastelloy C22 Bars which provides a wide variety of uses and extraordinary resistant properties.
These bars are often created using methods such as hot rolling and cold drawing to create a range of specific sizes and dimensions that may be used in many industries. The bars are immune to corrosion in severe environments – definitely suitable for chemical processing, pollution control, and waste treatment.
Table Of Content
In the case of Hastelloy C22 Bars, its primary characteristic is that it does not succumb to pitting, crevice corrosion, as well as stress corrosion cracking. It therefore makes them suitable for applications where the material being used is likely to come into contact with corrosive substances and this includes chemical industries, production of chemical related products like drugs and manufacture of petrochemicals.
The production of the alloy containing high nickel as well as the addition of chrome and moly in the material make it highly resistant to corrosive conditions of oxidation as well as reduction. This versatility makes Hastelloy C22 bars capable of withstanding attacks by acids such as sulfuric, hydrochloric and phosphoric among others in torrid conditions with chloride ion contaminated media.
Particularly, Hastelloy C22 bars are easy to machine, in order to fit various industries to assemble or fabricate materials. It further improves their applicability in these industries, which demand a high level of component accuracy.
The bars themselves can be flexibly adjusted to the needs of a given construction project by using different surface finishes or dimensions, tolerances and lengths of the bars. Their ability to offer custom solutions to problems makes them the outstanding choice particularly in engineering and construction projects.
Hastelloy C22 bars mainly provide high tensile strength and good ductility and also show a good response to high thermal treatments. It can be concluded that these qualities contribute to the general durability and serviceability of structures or parts manufactured from this alloy.
